Register With Us

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

The Coastal Cupboard would be delighted to have you register with us for your special day. We understand all that goes into planning a wedding, and our goal is to make your registry experience fun, convenient, and relaxing. Feel free to swing in, or set up an appointment where we’ll gladly walk you through our store and offer guidance in helping you choose what products best fit you as you take your time creating your registry wish list.

Generally speaking, you want to register as close to your wedding as possible, but a few weeks before any bridal showers. For most couples this equates to about two months prior to the wedding. Since the store is constantly rotating through seasonal merchandise, please check in with the store about new products.

This is a concern of Giving Options Vs. Looking Greedy… Customers shopping off registries actually prefer to see larger registry lists because it gives them more options. So as a rule of thumb, let your registry be a big wish list and put on everything you think you may want. After the wedding, you can easily return any duplicates or unwanted gifts and exchange for more basic items that did not get purchased.

Where To Start… Registering can be an overwhelming process, especially for a young couple that is starting from scratch and may not have experience cooking and entertaining. That’s where we can help. When you come in to register, we will happily walk you through the basics you’ll need to set up your kitchen, and help you choose the brands and pieces that fit the way you’ll be cooking. Although the options may seem extensive at first, we’ll help break it down and walk you through each section to make sure you get your bases covered from cookware, to tabletop, and everywhere in between.

Although your table may only seat 6, we always recommend registering for at least 10-12 placesettings in dinnerware, flatware, & glassware. Think of it this way: Do you want to run your dishwasher every day so you have bowls and spoons for breakfast? Also, always register for extra tabletop linens. Since the patterns and fabrics are seasonal like clothing, they are quickly discontinued, making them hard to replace if stained, or added to if you get a larger table.

Although guests can see a complete list of couples registered with us, and the copy of the registry, the bridal registries themselves do not reflect what has already been purchased. Guests who would like to purchase an item from a bridal registry simply need to come into the store or call in by phone, and any of the staff members will be more than happy to walk them through the registry and what is still available for purchase.  Call 843-856-4321

Find A Registry

If you are attending one of the many beautiful weddings hosted here in the Lowcountry, and you need that perfect gift to present the bride & groom, we would be glad to help from start to finish.

Registries are available to view online, but do not reflect what has been purchased. To make a purchase off a bridal registry, simply come into the store or call in by phone, and any of the staff members will be more than happy to walk you through their registry.  We’ll help you choose a gift they are sure to love, and gladly gift-wrap it for you.  This provides us the opportunity to keep the registries very personal and give you inside perspective into the items the couple wanted most.  Don’t worry if the couple isn’t registered with us either, we’ll help you either find their registry online or select another gift that will be perfect for their special day. Buying Off a Registry Seems So Impersonal, so often times, people want to know how they can make a gift seem more personal. Keep in mind that items on a registry are things the couple really wants or needs, and therefore they will be used often and mean a lot to the receiving bride & groom. There are always ways to make a simple gift more personal though. For example, if you are purchasing a baker off a registry, enclose one of your favorite recipes with it to give the couple a place to start. Another favorite is to create a “bouquet” of kitchen utensils they asked for, and throw in one or two of your favorite utensils with a note as to why you can’t imagine your kitchen without them. Most of the time, the couple’s favorite will end up being the one they never expected they needed, and you’ll be thought of every time they reach for it as they’re cooking.

Don’t worry if the couple isn’t registered with The Coastal Cupboard, we can still help you find them the perfect gift. We are happy to search online to see if they have registries posted, or help you select another gift that will be perfect for their special day. We have experience putting together shower & wedding gifts for every type of couple you can imagine… from the “young and just starting out”, to the “second marriage and already has everything”, and even the “daughter of my husband’s cousin I’ve never met”… we’ve done them all.

The Coastal Cupboard provides complimentary gift-wrap for every occasion. We will make your purchase look the part so you can walk out ready to go.

If you are unable to find a couple in the adjacent list, please visit here, as the couple may have registered with us through Bridge. If you need additional assistance finding a couple, please call 843-856-4321.
