Just in time for St. Patrick’s Day




3-1/2C All purpose Flour
1 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Baking Soda

Add & Blend:
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp Caraway Seeds
1/4C Sugar

1/2 Stick Butter and use your fingers to incorporate & coat with flour.

Blend Together:
1-1/3C Buttermilk
1 egg

To dry ingredients add:
1 heaping cup Raisins

Transfer dry ingredients to stand mixer fitted with the paddle attachment. Add liquid while mixing on speed 1. Continue mixing until it comes together, taking care not to overmix.

Turn out dough onto a surface that has been dusted with bread flour. Knead together to form a ball.

1 Egg,a pinch of sugar, a pinch of salt, and a couple drops of water to form an egg wash.
Brush over the top of the bread.

Take a serrated knife to cut a deep cross in the top of the loaf.

Preheat a 4 Qt Dutch oven inside a 375 oven. Spray bottom with nonstick spray. Transfer loaf into Dutch Oven and place lid on top. Bake for 30 minutes with the lid on. Remove lid, and bake another 20-25 minutes.
