Why bake the same old cookies or cupcakes when you can try something new!? Have you ever heard of Coeur A La Creme? Its a creamy, delicious no-bake dessert. This lightened up version is somewhere between a crustless cheesecake and a mousse. Satisfying, not overly sweet, and perfectly accented by the tartness of fresh berries! SAVE this recipe and give this dessert a try!

INGREDIENTS:

1/2 cup sugar
1 cup plain low fat yogurt
1 cup heavy cream
2 egg whites

For the Garnish
Fresh strawberries/raspberries
1-10oz package frozen strawberries

Reserve 2 Tbsp of sugar, then combine the rest with the yogurt Add heavy cream to the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with the whisk attachment and beat until it forms stiff peaks. Gently fold heavy cream into the yogurt mixture.

Best egg whites until foamy and expanded. Gradually add the 2tbsp and continue beating until mixture forms stiff peaks. Gently fold beaten egg whites into heavy cream and yogurt mixture. Line your mold with a dampened cheesecloth and pour in the mixture. Cover top with remaining cheesecloth and plastic wrap and place in a square dish to collect liquid. Refrigerate overnight. Thaw the strawberries and puree to use as a sauce. De-stem and slice fresh strawberries (or raspberries) to garnish the Coeur A La Creme.
