1/2C Sugar
/2C Molasses
1/4C Butter
1/4C Crisco
1 Egg plus 1 egg white
1-1/2C All Purpose Flour
1/2C Boiling Water
1 Tbsp. Baking Soda
3/4tsp Ground Ginger

Optional: Whipped Cream

DIRECTIONS: Cream Sugar, Butter & Crisco until smooth. Add egg, egg white and molasses and continue stirring until smooth. Whisk together dry ingredients in a separate bowl, and add slowly to wet ingredients. Slowly stir in boiling water. Pour into prepared 8×8” baking ban. Bake at 350 for 25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean. Top with a generous dollop of whipped cream and gingerbread sprinkles. Enjoy!
